Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Annual Network Conference

03 Jul 2025

On 3 and 4 July 2025, the Council of Europe will host the annual Network Conference of the Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Programme in Strasbourg, under the auspices of the Maltese Presidency of the Committee of Ministers.

Bringing together over 130 participants, including representatives of judicial training institutions, bar associations, and key partners such as the European Union, EJTN, CCBE, and the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, the conference will serve as a key platform to promote human rights education and strengthen the consistent application of European legal standards.

The event will also provide an opportunity to showcase recent developments in the HELP Programme that align with the Presidency’s priorities and underline its relevance in times of democratic challenges, conflict, and legal uncertainty. High-level Council of Europe officials, including the Directors of Human Rights and Rule of Law, will highlight the Programme’s impact and its role in fostering international cooperation among legal professionals.

The conference will be livestreamed, allowing wider access to this important exchange of expertise and good practices.
