- 14 Sep 2025

In celebration of UNESCO’s International Literacy Day on the 8th of September 2025, Strasbourg’s National University Library will embark on a vibrant journey through the magic of children’s literature and theatre.

Extending these festivities, the Maltese Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe will dedicate the following weekend to children’s literature, exploring this genre’s rich storytelling traditions and cultural influences. Visitors can immerse themselves in exhibitions, live translations, book presentations, interactive readings, and discussions revealing the transversal nature of stories between cultures. A standout highlight will be a captivating theatre production for children, bringing beloved Maltese tales to life on stage. Through workshops, performances, and engaging activities, audiences are invited to discover the unique voices that define our islands’ literary heritage.
